If you’re a fan of authentic Shanghainese flavors, Xie Bao Crabhouse in the Flushing food court is an absolute must-try. And for those who have yet to try shanghainese food before this is where to start! Their crab roe with noodles is the star of the show. The amount of crab roe they give you is seriously impressive — it’s rich, golden, and generously coating every strand of noodle. You’re not just getting a hint of flavor; you’re getting real depth and that unmistakable umami-packed crab essence in every bite. For the portion size and the sheer amount of roe, it’s incredibly worth it. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering how indulgent and satisfying the dish feels. The crab roe soup dumpling, along with the Peking duck and pork inside if it, are just as memorable. Each dumpling is delicate but sturdy enough to hold a good spoonful of hot, flavorful soup inside. When you break into them, you get that perfect burst of savory broth that makes Shanghainese soup dumplings so crave-worthy. The fillings are well-balanced, juicy, and packed with flavor. This is classic Shanghainese Chinese cuisine done right — comforting, rich, and deeply satisfying without breaking the bank. It’s easy to see why people rave about this spot. If you’re in Flushing and love soup dumplings or crab roe, this place absolutely lives up to the hype.

Absolutely amazing crab roe over noodle, soup dumplings, and baos!!! The xiao long bao were packed with so much meat and broth, and every bite was super flavorful, 10/10. The skin was thin but held everything perfectly, and the filling tasted fresh and juicy. The crab roe over noodle was SO GOOD but the xiao long bao is a MUST..! It came with different side dishes too. The server was so sweet, she gave us warm tea and was so friendly.

Absolutely delicious crab meat! I went to their Manhattan place with friends before, and this spot in Flushing was just as impressive. My husband and I ordered three dishes and were completely satisfied The crab rice is a must-try, or choose noodles if you prefer. And love the crab soup dumplings dipped in vinegar! Oh and the crab pastry even comes in a cute little box, so delicate and adorable~~ perfectly crisp in one bite! It’s also great as a gift for friends~ It is located right at the entrance of the food court. We’ll definitely be back!
